How do I get started?
You have 2 choices. Either we can manage your pages for you or you may do so. If you would like to manage your own page, call (215) 489-4957 or email Janet Klaessig to set up a training time. The session lasts about 45 minutes and the system is very easy to learn.

Can I work from off-campus?
Yes, you may use the ERes system to upload/delete electronic documents from any Internet connection, on or off campus.

Can I fax documents to the ERes server from off-campus?
No, faxing is only available from campus fax machines at the present time.

Some of my students can't access files that I faxed into ERes. Why?
When you fax materials to the ERes server, those files are automatically turned into PDF files (portable document files). The end user must have Acrobat Reader loaded on his/her computer to view these files. This is a free piece of software available from the Adobe site.

If the computer being used doesn't have the program on it that the ERes document was created in, the user may need to load a "viewer or plug-in" program to access the file. Click on the link "Help Opening Documents" at the top of the course page to access these programs. For instance, if you don't have Powerpoint loaded on your computer, you can still view a Powerpoint presentation if you load the Powerpoint Reader software. However, you won't be able to print or alter the presentation.

Also, some of the newer toolbars such as the Google Toolbar have pop-up blockers that may stop certain ERes pages from opening up. You may want to turn that option off when using ERes.

What's the easiest way to send documents to the Library for uploading?
Email your documents to Janet Klaessig via an email attachment.
You can send them from on or off campus.

How do I check my usage statistics?
Login and go to the course you want to check.
On the Page Management screen, click Statistic Reports
Check off either Hits: Course Reserves Pages or Hits: Documents
Click the "View Selected Report" for usage count

I can't remember my login to work on my page. What do I do?
You will need to call the library (215) 489-2253 or email Janet Klaessig to get a new password.
