Instructions
You must be logged in to ERes to work on your page. Admin Login is at upper right on Main Menu page.
To log in: go to http://reserves.delval.edu/eres/toolkit.aspx
At the main menu link is a list of all your existing courses. This is also where you create new courses.
Click on the Course you’ll be working on, then click Accept at Copyright page.
Uploading Electronic Documents (Word, PPt, image files, etc.)
Click on Documents and Copyright
Click on Add Documents
Click on Add a New Document
Fill in Title and any other optional information you want
Click on Save button
Click on Green Arrow Transfer File(s) to Server icon
Click on Browse to select documents to upload (You may add 5 at this screen)
Click on Upload, then on Close Window link
Click on Paperclip icon(s) in User Staging Area (Private) to attach documents to your page
Deleting Documents
Click on Documents and Copyright
Click on Remove Selected
Click box next to every document you want to delete
On next screen click Remove button
The document will be removed from your page, but not from the system
To see all your documents go to Main Menu, then Documents
To remove items permanently use the delete feature in the Documents section of Main Menu
Faxing Documents
Fax number is 2879 (those 4 digits and only from campus fax machines)
First fax your document into the system at 2879
Click on Documents and Copyright
Click on Add Documents
Click on Add a New Document
Fill in Title and any optional information you want Click on Save
You will now see your fax on lower right portion of screen. Click on Paperclip to attach and it will appear on your page.
Note: All ERes users' documents are in the fax staging area, so make sure that you are uploading your document and not someone else's. To check document content, open the document by clicking on the link itself.
To Archive/Unarchive Pages
In this version of ERes the idea of “Archiving” has been replaced with “ Visibility Date Ranges”
To use this feature, log in and go to the course in question
Click Accept on copyright page
Click on Page Management Tab (one of four tabs on Main Menu page) if you haven’t been put there automatically
At the main menu go to the first link, "Course Reserves Page Settings."
In the second window "Enter Optional Information,"
in Visibility Date Range fill in the dates you want to make the page available, (ex: if you only want page to appear for the month of March 205 enter a date range of 03-01-2005 03-31-2005) Page will become unavailable after that time.
To make page available to students at all times, delete all dates in the Visibility Date Range boxes.
Click on Save at bottom of screen.
To Change Course Semester and Year Information
Log in and go to the course in question
Click Accept on copyright page
Click on Page Management Tab
At the main menu go to the first link, "Course Reserves Page Settings."
Change the semester and year on the pull down menu in the first window "Enter Required Information"
Click on Save at bottom of screen.
